The Colorado Springs Rising Professionals would like to announce "Ballot Battles 2016: Vote with a Vengeance". We have challenged other young professionals groups across the country to a voting challenge in order to prove our pride in Colorado Springs.
To kickoff the Ballot Battles challenge, join us and local candidates for a FREE event on February 17th! We will meet some of the local and state candidates running for office in November 2016 and then watch young professionals engage in a Mock Presidential Debate. A little bit debate, a little bit improv, a little bit education - you will (unfortunately) not be seeing a debate like this on network television!
This event will be a great way to learn about the issues, the candidates, and how you can get involved with Ballot Battles 2016!
5:30-6:00: Candidate Meet and Greet
6:00-6:20: Ballot Battle Kickoff, Adopt a Nonprofit Announcement and "JV Debate" (The Kid's Table)
6:20-7:00: Mock Presidential Debate
We believe civic engagement stands at the core of ensuring that young people are invested in our community and choose to stay and live in Colorado Springs. We know that young people in our city care enough about important issues to “Vote with a Vengeance”.
