"The Power of Influence" is a workshop that will be instructed by Dr. Hillary Reed, a certified MBTI instructor.
Dr. Reed brings more than 10 years of hands-on experience as a practitioner of strategic planning, staff training and development, and nonprofit leadership. She earned a master’s degree in Organizational Management in 2009 and her PhD in Organizational Development & Leadership in January of 2016. Her doctoral research focuses on employee engagement in the workplace and the strategic planning process.
When you understand your personality type, you will be able to approach your own work in a manner that suits your style, including: how you manage your time, problem solving, best approaches for decision making and dealing with stress. Knowledge of your type will also help you better understand the culture of the place you work, develop new skills, understand your participation in teams and cope with change in the workplace. This will all help you understand the way that you influence and motivate others!
This will be a 1.5 hour workshop where you will receive a 4 page analysis of your personality and the underlying traits that accompany it. Once the results have been shown and Hillary has had a chance to go through them with you, you will be put into different groups that will help teach you how to influence and motivate your peers, based on different personality types. This will help you to understand how to work with different personality types in the workplace.
This workshop will be capped at 40 people, so please sign up quickly before space is filled!
Once you have registered (and paid) for this event, you will receive a link to the MBTI test that you will need to take no later than February 15, 2017.
